Movement Medicine
May 10 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
5Rhythms Movement is a liberating and often cathartic improvisational movement practice
which welcomes the mover home into the body and invites free expression. No steps to
memorize, no previous dance experience is necessary, just a love of music and movement!
Authentic Movement is a conscious movement practice that facilitates a slowing down, a deep
inner listening for what is present in body, heart, mind and soul – typically in stillness, without
music – and promotes a true sense of wholeness and being in touch with oneself.
In her class Movement Medicine, Anna Aurora combines these different modalities with embodiment,
mindfulness, stress-relief and relaxation exercises to specifically support people who are
seeking more connection with self, or those who might be healing from anxiety, depression,
trauma or burnout and could benefit from an embodied, joyful approach to healing.
5-Class Series: Friday afternoons, April 19, 26; May 3, 10, 17 (with May 24 as extra date to
make up a missed class).
Movement Medicine only: Friday 2-3pm, $125 for 5 classes
Add-on Authentic Movement option: 3-3:45, an additional $15 per class (after 1 st class, a
commitment is needed for the remaining dates).
Classes are held in a small group, upstairs at Camden Whole Health in the yoga studio.
