About April Dove — LMT, CYT
As a LMT April’s caring and intuitive nature underpins her proficiency in body mechanics and technique and enables her to treat clients in a way that leaves them feeling truly cared for and nurtured. Her massage practice is a culmination of her natural abilities and years of study and observation of the human body. A Hatha Yoga Instructor for eight years, and a student of the practice for nearly 2 decades she has experienced first hand the transformative power of body work. It is her commitment to her ongoing yoga and meditation practice that allows her to bring a certain connectedness and energy to her practice. April has an enthusiasm for continued study and exploration. Whether it is myofascial techniques, Reiki, or trauma work, April incorporates the knowledge of mind/ body connections and the appropriate specified modalities for each client into her massage sessions. You will leave your session not quite knowing just why that was so good.
Enabling her clients to gain greater self awareness both physically and mentally April offers weekly and private yoga classes. Her teachings rest on a firm experience and understanding of the body’s alignment as well as her ability to internalize and share the physical, mental, and spiritual connections the practice unfolds. When we find space and ease in our body we can heal, and then use our energy for living our best lives. So simple, yet so easy to forget. New Tide Healing Arts is not only April’s business but her personal mission to help others along the mid-coast through yoga and massage, connect with their sense of self, heal their bodies and spirit, and bring a new sense of wellness and joy to their lives and communities.
April is the mother of two amazing children and lives with her family in Northport, where she enjoys the healing she finds in nature as well as all kinds of creative endeavors including crafting jewelry in geometric forms from both found copper and copper which she treats for different affects. You can find some of her work at her office as well as locally.
