Massage Therapy

Massage therapy dates back thousands of years, with roots in many different cultures. The term “massage therapy” includes many different styles and techniques in which the therapist uses varying degrees of pressure and manipulation to muscle and other soft tissue.

Massage therapy is recognized by the National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health as effective to aid in stress relief and health maintenance. Massage is commonly used to ease muscle pain, relieve postural stress, soothe anxiety and depression, improve sleep, boost immunity and relieve headaches.
